In 1968, several linguistic centres in Switzerland merged to create inlingua.
In the early seventies, inlingua was present in Europe and North America with 60 centres.
In the eighties inlingua Centres opened all over the world.
In 1989, inlingua published the first language teaching materials adapted to the Business World ( Access to Professional Programme). These programmes put emphasis on real business situations,right from beginner level.
In the nineties inlingua published their Business Modules which satisfy language requirements and offer tailor-made solutions to professional learners with a system of Modules developed by inlingua..
In 2000, inlingua entered the world of multi-media by developing their own cdroms, online magazine, online learning and penpal club.
Now 400 centres welcome more than 500'000 students worldwide.
